On Friday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland, and invited her to form government.

In the evening, at the Lyric Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the opening night performance of Queensland Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’.
