On Saturday, in the morning, at the Australian-American War Memorial, Newstead, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC attended the 79th Anniversary Memorial Service of the Battle of the Coral Sea, and laid the first wreath.

Following, at the Allies Memorial, New Farm, His Excellency attended the 76th Anniversary Commemoration Service of the "Victory in Europe," and laid the first wreath.
