On Tuesday, in the morning, Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM departed Government House for official travel to City of Gold Coast Council.

Following, at Elanora Community Centre, Her Excellency received a briefing from Acting Mayor, City of Gold Coast Council, Cr Donna Gates and Council representatives and Queensland State Recovery Coordinator Major General Jake Ellwood DSC AM CSC.

Following, at Elanora Community Centre, Her Excellency hosted a Community Morning Tea and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at Elanora State School, Her Excellency visited the school, the Governor addressed the students and read a book.

In the evening, at Government House, Her Excellency and Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD hosted a dinner in honour of the Honourable Catherine Holmes AC and the governor addressed guests.
