On Friday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC received Mr Neil Laurie, Clerk of the Queensland Parliament, for the presentation of five bills for Assent.

Following, in the afternoon, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a luncheon in honour of Air Commodore Scott Winchester, outgoing Commander, Combat Support Group, Royal Australian Air Force. Other guests included: Mrs Mary-Anne, Miss Amy, Mr Jeffrey & Miss Kate Winchester; Mr Stephen Mallet CSM; Group Captain Martin Smith; Group Captain David Turner; Wing Commander George Hodgson; Wing Commander Michael Penman; Warrant Officer Michael Kearney; Mr Rob & Mrs Gloria Kilah; Mr Steven Kilah; Mr Colin & Mrs Pat Winchester; Air Commodore Mark Gower OAM; and Flight Lieutenant Rob Moran ADC (Hon).

Following, at the Playhouse Theatre, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Queensland Ballet opening night performance of ‘The Nutcracker’.
