In the morning, at the Australian-American War Memorial, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended a memorial service for the 73rd anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea, where the Governor received the Royal Salute, inspected the guard and band, and laid the first wreath.

In the evening, at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended a performance of Opera Queensland’s La Traviata.
