In the morning, in the United Kingdom, at Queensland House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, met Brussels Director, Confederation of British Industry, Mr Sean McGuire.

In the afternoon, at the Ministry of Defence, Whitehall, the Governor met Head of Reserve Forces and Cadets, Brigadier Mark van der Lande OBE and Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Reserve Forces and Cadets), Major General John Crackett TD, and then met Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Defence, with responsibility for the Reserve Forces, and Member for Canterbury, Mr Julian Brazier TD MP.

In the evening, at Australia House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended The University of Queensland alumni reception, hosted by the Head of School and Dean of Law, Professor Sarah Derrington.

Also in the morning, in Brisbane, at the Executive Building, George Street, the Acting Governor, Chief Justice of Queensland, the Honourable Timothy Carmody, presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
