On Saturday, in the morning, at Rydges Southbank Townsville, Townsville, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC CVO hosted North Queensland Investiture Ceremonies for the following recipients of Australian Honours and Awards announced in the Australia Day 2021 Honours List, and the 2021 Queen’s Birthday Honours List: Major Leigh Joseph Brown CSM; Mr Greg Allan Bruce OAM; Lieutenant Colonel Luke Thomas Dawson CSC; Mr Ronald Frank Donnellan AM; Corporal Pierce Jordan Halliday CSM; Mrs Helen Florence Tarttelin OAM; Associate Professor Anthony Charles Lamont PSM; Mr Paul Francis Lucas OAM; Dr Wendy Smyth OAM; and Mr Colin Saltmere AM.

In the evening, at North Queensland Club, Townsville, His Excellency attended the North Queensland Club Past Presidents' Black Tie Dinner 2021, and addressed guests.
