Visit to Ashgrove State School
Thank you very much to the Choir for that wonderful performance.
Graeme and I are delighted to be here today.
This our third opportunity to meet Ashgrove State School students since I was sworn in as Governor two weeks ago.
Students from this School lined the vice-regal driveway, waving Queensland flags, when we arrived at Government House for the first time on 1 November.
And just yesterday, your Principal and some Year 6 students came to Government House for the launch of the children’s book I will shortly read to the prep students.
Graeme has a very special connection to Ashgrove State School. He went here as a child.
We are both very interested in learning all about the wonderful things which still take place here at Ashgrove State School.
I also look forward now to answering some questions you have prepared for us.
