Christmas Lights 2024
Christmas Lights are back on at Government House with a spectacular free display that will be open to the public nightly from 6.45pm - 8.15pm on December 13 through 19, 2024.
The landmark historic house and gardens of the Fernberg Estate will be once again lit up in a magical light show that has become a must-see for Brisbane families at Christmas time.
This year's display will look slightly different from years past, so if you haven't been in a while, be sure you don't miss this spectacular night out!
Visitors are also welcome inside Government House to have a photo alongside the grandly decorated Christmas Tree.
Entry is free. Tickets and pre-bookings are not required.
Simply turn up and enjoy the festive display!
Key information:
- Entry is free via the gates at 168 Fernberg Road, Paddington
- No requirement for tickets or pre-bookings
- Parking is on the streets surrounding the estate (there is no on-site parking, however Security will assist with drop-offs for guests with mobility issues)
- Sorry, no pets please (assistance dogs excepted)
Fernberg has been the official residence of the Governor of Queensland since 1910.
Each year, thousands pour through the gates to enjoy the bright and colourful Government House Christmas Lights display, which is widely regarded as one of Brisbane’s best.
