On Saturday, in the morning, at Castaway’s Resort, Mission Beach, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC hosted a breakfast in support of local businesses, and the Governor addressed guests. 

Following, at Johnstone Shire Hall, Innisfail, His Excellency and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a community morning tea, and the Governor addressed guests and presented awards. 

Following, at El Arish Cenotaph Park, El Arish, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended the centenary celebration of the El Arish township, and the Governor addressed guests and unveiled a plaque.

Following, at El Arish Community Sports and Recreational Centre, El Arish, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey attended a community morning tea.

In the afternoon, at El Arish Diggers Museum, El Arish, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey toured the museum. 

In the evening, His Excellency and Mrs de Jersey returned to Government House following official travel to Hinchinbrook Shire and the Cassowary Coast.
