In the morning, at Cannon Park Racecourse, Cairns, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ladies Race Day and presented the trophy to the winner of the Governor’s Race.

In the evening, at the Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal, the Governor and Mrs de Jersey attended the Cairns Amateurs Ball where the Governor addressed guests.
