On Monday, in the afternoon, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted an afternoon tea in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Pinktober, and the Governor addressed guests.

Following, at River Quay Jetty, South Bank Parklands, Brisbane, His Excellency launched the Surf Life Saving Queensland annual fundraising appeal "SOS Week" and addressed guests.
