On Saturday, in the morning, at the Allies Memorial, New Farm, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC and Mrs Kaye de Jersey attended the 72nd Anniversary Commemorative Service of the Victory in Europe Day and laid the first wreath.

In the afternoon, the Governor departed Brisbane for an official visit to Ipswich.

Following, at 88 Limestone Precinct, Ipswich, the Governor officially opened restored buildings at the Precinct and addressed guests, before returning to Brisbane.
