On Wednesday, in the morning, at Government House, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, Administrator of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, received the Honourable Stirling Hinchliffe MP, Minister for Transport and the Commonwealth Games.

Following, the Administrator greeted members of the Wynnum 60 & Better Program visiting Government House for morning tea and a guided tour of the House and gardens.

In the evening, at Government House, the Administrator hosted a reception for the ANZAC Centenary Arts and Culture Fund where His Excellency addressed guests.  

Earlier, in the morning, the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty, and the Honourable Justice Margaret McMurdo commenced duty, as Acting Governor of Queensland.

In the afternoon, at the Executive Building, the Acting Governor presided at a meeting of the Executive Council.
