On Friday, in the morning, at Mareeba, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC visited Mareeba State School, and the Governor addressed students and guests and read a book.

Following, at Mareeba, His Excellency visited the Mareeba Industrial Park.

Following, at Mareeba, His Excellency toured the Golden Drop Winery.

Following, at the Mareeba Shire Council Chambers, Mareeba, His Excellency officiated at a Private Investiture Ceremony for Mr Lloyd Nielsen OAM.

In the afternoon, at the Mareeba Shire Council Chambers, Mareeba, His Excellency received a briefing from Mareeba Shire Council representatives.

Following, at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre, His Excellency toured the Low Security Centre. 

Following, at Mareeba Airport, Mareeba, His Excellency toured the MAF Training Facilities and attended the sod turning of a new hangar, and the Governor addressed guests and turned the first sod.

Following, at Mareeba International Club, Mareeba, His Excellency hosted a community afternoon tea, and the Governor addressed guests.
