On Friday, in the morning, His Excellency the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC ceased duty as Administrator of the Commonwealth of Australia and resumed duty of Governor of Queensland, and the Honourable Chief Justice Catherine Holmes ceased duty as Acting Governor.

Following, at Government House, the Governor received Clerk of the Parliament, Mr Neil Laurie for the presentation of Bills for Assent.

In the evening, at Government House, the Governor and Mrs Kaye de Jersey hosted a reception to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Australian Air Force Cadets where His Excellency addressed guests.
